Congratulations to Isabelle Bond and George Seddon-Roberts, who have been appointed to the key roles of Head Girl and Head Boy for the new school year.
Isabelle takes up the post after spending her entire school life at St. Mary’s, progressing from The Mount the College and then the Sixth Form.
17-year-old Isabelle is studying for A Levels in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry. She is planning to study Physics at Oxford University after completing her A Levels.
She is a member of the St. Mary’s Symphony Orchestra, Chamber Choir and Show Choir and - away from school - the Liverpool Philharmonic Youth Orchestra and Southport Orchestra. She is also actively involved in hockey, drama, CCF and has already completed her D of E Gold Award.
Isabelle commented: “Being Head Girl will be a great opportunity to give something back to the school that has provided me with so many amazing opportunities over the years.”
George is taking A Levels in Mathematics, Biology and Chemistry and intends to study Biology at university. George is another talented young performer, taking part in drama productions and singing with the Chamber Choir and Show Choir.
George said: “Being Head Boy will give me the platform to play a larger role within the St. Mary’s community and I’m really looking forward to the year ahead.”
St. Mary’s Principal Mike Kennedy says Isabelle and George have done extremely well to have been appointed to these prestigious positions following a rigorous selection process.
Mr Kennedy commented: “Isabelle and George are ideally suited to these important roles and have all the attributes required to make a very significant contribution to life at St. Mary’s over the coming school year.”
