Sixth formers helped St. Mary’s to make a stylish end to the term and the year at the school’s annual winter ball.
College blazers and ties were consigned to wardrobes at home as students donned dinner jackets and dresses for the glittering occasion which was held at the Marriott Hotel in Liverpool city centre.
Around 100 sixth formers attended the ball which is one of the highlights of the school’s social calendar.
This year’s event was organised by a committee of students with the help of Head of Religious Studies, Patrick Duffy and Head of Sixth Form, Carole Killen.
Principal, Mike Kennedy, commented: “The winter ball is always a very good opportunity for our sixth formers to take an evening away from their A level studies, and get together with their friends to celebrate this special time of year."
“And once again the organising committee did them proud, doing a great job with arranging everything from liaising with the venue and selling the tickets to seating arrangements and producing the menus. As a result, the 2015 event was another first-class occasion, with all the students putting a lot of thought, time and effort into dressing up and making it an evening to remember,” added Mr Kennedy.
