Helping Others

At St. Mary's College Preparatory School we are acutely aware of people, both near and far, who are less fortunate than ourselves and we strive to raise funds and awareness of numerous charities and causes. Throughout the school year many fundraising activties take place, a number of which are led by the Edmund Rice Group, made up of Year 6 pupils. These particular efforts include raising much needed funds for our twin school, St Martin's in Liberia. The Group meet regularly with Edmund Rice Coordinator, Miss Moran,  to discuss ways to raise money to support the school and over the years we have been able to build a playground, toilet blocks and provide classroom resources and equipment.

During the academic year 2016-2017 pupils, parents and staff have raised in excess of £8,000 and supported:-

  • Jospice
  • Macmillan Cancer Support
  • Nugent Care Society
  • CAFOD
  • Crosby Food Bank

  • Save the Children
  • Asylum Link Merseyside
