Food for Life Success

The Mount was delighted to receive a Bronze Award from the Food For Life national programme, which aims to transform school food culture, in recognition of our commitment and success in key areas.

Food Quality, Leadership, Culture and Education, together with work in the Community and with Partnerships, provided a framework to develop a whole school approach to food and has been led by the School Nutrition Action Group, in consultation with pupils, parents and staff.

The award comes at the end of a considerable amount of hard work and we are very appreciative of the enthusiasm and time given by all in the school community, and in particular parents Mrs Marsh and Mrs Thompson.

The school will now progress to Silver, which is all about building on the groundwork already completed and initiatives put in place, and will continue to involve the whole school community.
