Boys Sports Update 1/11/17: 1st XV beat Manchester GS

Prior to breaking up, the 1st XV took an unbelievable scalp, beating Manchester Grammar School 1st XV 24-22 away.

The Under 15s lost in the Lancashire Plate 12-5 to a strong West Hill side. It was a good performance nevertheless in the mud, wind and rain.

Midweek practices

Monday               Fitness for all in the sportshall until 4:55pm

Tuesday               Year 7 & 8 Rugby Skills   Sportshall

                                Year 9 & 10 Strength & Conditioning

Wednesday        Badminton in the Sportshall until 4:55pm

Thursday             Senior training until 4:55pm (this is now at the sportshall and is strength & conditioning)

All Days                Boys Sports Activities 12:30-1pm

Saturdays            Rugby matches


Fixtures this Saturday

The 1st XV have no game this weekend as Cowley can’t raise a 1st XV

The fixtures are:

Under 12 & Under 14 at home versus Cowley. 9am meet at the field for a 10am start.

The under 13s & Under 15s are away at Cowley metting at 8:30 at school for a 10am start. Please

inform Mr Stag (under 13s) and Mr Williams (Under 15s) if you are going direct. (WA10 6PN)

The under 16s play Stonyhurst at home in the cup. This is a 10:45am meet for an 11:45 start.

The café, as ever is open.

Next Wednesday 8th November sees the first Sefton Cross Country fixture of the season. Race 1 is at Birkdale from 2pm. We will be leaving by bus at 1pm. Pupils will be back at school for the buses. If you wish for your child to leave from Birkdale you must either pick them up or issue them a note to be given to PE staff.


And finally, Morgan Feeney has been included in the Everton squad for the Europa Cup tie versus Lyon tomorrow night so please keep a lookout.
