Dear All
The term is up and running now and the 1st XV started the season well with a 38-17 win against King William’s College, Isle of Man.
All extra-curricular clubs are now up and running so tonight sees Lower Schools Rugby skills in the sportshall.

Bad weather
Weekend fixtures are almost always on. If however they are cancelled after school has ended on a Friday, then please check the twitter account or www.stmarys.ac then search for sports updates.
Fixtures
Tonight (Thursday);
Year 10 Lancashire Cup Rugby vs Unity College; home. 2:45pm start
Year 8 & 11 football vs Maghull at home. 5pm finish
Saturday
Under 12 & 15 home vs Rydal School; meet at the field at 9:00am for a 10am start (L23 4TR)
Under 13, 14 & 1st XV vs Rydal away (LL29 7BT)
Bus meets at 7:55am and we return at 1:15pm
Please note teams selected are for this week only so if not picked, don’t worry; just keep going.
Pupils to arrive in school tracksuit/hoody. If you don’t have them please wear uniform.
Rugby Café
For all home games, we run a Rugby Café from 9am-11:30am at the school field. We sell Lucozade, bacon butties, tea, coffee and emergency Gum-Shields (whilst stocks last). The boys will be fed after games.
Football
Football matches start next week. Please ask the pupils to check the board for details
Rugby Refreshments Rota; volunteering
If anyone would like to volunteer to help out serve refreshments on match days, can you please get in touch with John Armstrong (armsjst@stmarys.lpool.sch.uk). Also, if any parents are qualified referees and would like to help out, please also get in touch. Any keen Sports Photographers, can you also please get in touch. For the purposes of volunteering to help catering, age groups at home are as below:

Health & Safety
Please can you ensure on Match Days and all other days that parents and pupils do not enter by foot by the road. There is also a pedestrian entrance to the fields and this is much safer to use. No parents are to park on premises either.
We hope your children have a wonderful year of sport; with such a wide range of activities we hope that all pupils get involved in at least one activity per week.
