Welcome to the last Sports Update of 2016.

 

On the last Saturday fixture of the year vs Rossall School we recorded a clean sweep.

Under 12s            won       15-10

Under 13s            won       58-34

Under 14s            won       25-0

Under 15s            won       54-12

1st XV                    won       34-12

The under 14s lost 21-15 vs St Edward’s in the Lancashire Cup

Cross-Country

The Cross-Country results are finally in

The Year 7 Boys team are in second in a 17 team event, the Year 8/9 team are in second in a 14 team event and the Senior team are third in an eight team event after the first league fixture. Well done to all; an excellent start.

Saturday 14th January     v Birkenhead (All years)

Saturday 21st January (no fixtures)

Saturday 28th January    v St Edwards’s College (All years)

Saturday 4th February     v Bury GS (All years)

Saturday 11th February  7s training (All years)

Thurs 16th-21st February                (Portugal tour)

Saturday 4th March          Rydal 7s (under 15 & 16 all day)

All other sports fixtures will be midweek and will be in the school calendar.

Christmas fixtures

Every year, there is a School Reunion Day for present and past pupils, families and friends, This year the under 12 & 13 Rugby will play as a curtain-raiser in the rugby against Waterloo on 27th December. It is a 12:15pm meet for a 1pm start at Waterloo Rugby Club. It is a wonderful opportunity to play at a Stadium for our boys.The bar will be open from 1pm.
