County Representatives

Congratulations to Alfie Mutch, Louis Vidamor, Joe McClelland & Harry Murphy who have all been selected for Lancashire Under 15s; a fabulous achievement.

Wine tasting

The Blind Wine Tasting Evening at Waterloo promises to be an excellent evening’s entertainment with Catalan Wines.

It is hoped that as many as possible parents of Portugal Tourists as well as anyone else who wishes to come attends. Tickets available from the School Office priced at £12 each, which includes your sample wines.

Last weekend’s fixtures

Unfortunately the under 12s & 1st XV didn’t have a game this week due to the away venues being flooded; however there were three good games v Rishworth School at St Mary’s College

Under 13s lost 47-21

Under 15s won 54-5

1st XV lost 28-5

Prior to the game all pupils stood together for a Minutes Silence to mark Remembrance weekend (pictures on @Stmaryssport twitter).

V AKS Lytham (FY8 1DT), all 10am starts

Under 12s & 1st XV away (7:55am meet to return for 1pm)

Under 13s, 14s & 15s home (9:00am)

Referee shortage

We occasionally have a shortage of referees on a Saturday Morning. We pay our referees £25 for a fixture. If anyone is qualified and experienced, please get in touch by e-mail;


The under 12s play Merchant Taylors at football on Thursday; a 2:30pm start. The boys will be finished for the buses.


This week all years have a Cross-Country fixture at Birkdale Common on Wednesday in the first Sefton Schools League Event of the season. All will be back for the school buses.


Year 9 & 10 have a basketball fixture against Birkdale on Thursday after school. The boys are expected to be back at St Mary’s between 5 and 5:15pm.

Boys PE
