Sports

St. Mary’s College has a proud tradition of sporting success and many of the school’s pupils have gone on to reach the very top in their chosen sports, including Olympic swimmer and Commonwealth Games gold medal winner Francesca Halsall, Bath and England rugby player Carl Fearns, Liverpool FC and England football player Trent Alexander-Arnold, and Great Britain & England rifle shooter Ruth Mwandumba.

Our pupils take part in an exceptionally wide range of sporting activities, competing successfully at county, national and international levels.

Coaching is provided in several sports and the school has excellent facilities at its 20-acre playing fields, sports centre and state-of the art gym.

Boys

  • Winter: Rugby, Football, Cross-Country, Basketball, Hockey, Swimming, Badminton and Fitness
  • Summer: Cricket, Tennis, Athletics and Golf

Girls

  • Winter: Netball, Football, Swimming, Dance and Cross-Country
  • Summer: Cricket, Athletics, Tennis, Golf and Rounders
