Over the October half – term break Year 9 pupils enjoyed a trip to Paris to indulge in the French cuisine, culture and to put into practice their knowledge of the French language learnt in lessons.
After a long journey and a very choppy Channel crossing, students arrived safely at their hotel in Paris! A bit of downtime and settling in before they headed out for dinner.
It was a gorgeous day in Paris for our students and teachers! They spent the morning in the Louvre, admiring the beautiful building and of course ‘La Joconde’. For lunch they sat in the Jardin de Tuileries and had fresh baguettes and crêpes from a local bakery before going on a 3-hour walking tour, which ended underneath La Tour Eiffel. To finish the day they enjoyed watching the sun setting over Paris on a Bateau Mouche on the river Seine. It doesn’t get much better than that!
Another fabulous day in the French capital for our students and teachers. A little rain didn’t dampen their mood when they visited the Arc de Triomphe and Champs Elysées. In the afternoon, they attended French lessons, to help them with the local lingo.
The absolute highlight of the day was a visit of Tour Montparnasse at night with a view of the stunningly sparkly Eiffel Tower. Our students and teachers LOVE Paris!
What a day! After a 12-hour shift in Disneyland Paris, students and teachers were finally ready to say Au revoir. After having a blast of a day, they said their goodbyes to Mickey and friends.
Students arrived back safely in the early hours of the morning after a very long journey home from Paris.
Thank you to our fabulous team of teachers who looked after our students and kept them safe. A special thankyou to Mrs Ford for organising the fantastic trip!
