Bright Sparks & Early Years is located in Crosby and part of St. Mary’s College Crosby Trust Limited.
Our nursery spans three floors of a large Victorian house with four easily accessible outdoors areas: a lovely all-weather lawn with a natural wooden ‘hide and climb’ lodge, ‘hobbit’ house and humpback hill; a tarmac area with chalkboards, sand-pit, balls, hoops and tyre tracks for scooters and trikes; a garden area with a lawn, flowerbeds, greenhouse, mud kitchen and a pirate ship complete with a sea blue play lawn; we also have an outdoor forestry area which is ideal for going on a bear hunt and other outdoor activities.
We are registered for 132 children with Ofsted and we are members of the National Day Nurseries Association.
Over 90% of our staff are qualified to Level 3 and we are a mixed age staff. Mrs Alice Haigh, Head of Early Years, is a fully qualified teacher who received Early Years Professional Status in March 2008.
