Blessing of the Crib at The Walton Centre

A group of children visited The Walton Centre to attend the annual blessing of the crib. They enjoyed singing carols with many of the staff at the hospital. It was lovely to receive feedback from patients saying that they could hear the children from their hospital beds and it put a smile on their faces.

The children had the opportunity to visit the accommodation where family members can stay who are visiting patients. They had a tour of some of the rooms and could see first-hand where their donations go to for the centre’s ‘Home from Home’ appeal. It was a wonderful opportunity for the children, they even got Christmas cupcakes specially made for them! We felt honoured to be asked to take part in such a special occasion at the hospital.
