A truly magical World Book Day at the Prep!

A truly magical World Book Day at the Prep! Banner

10 Mar 2025

On the morning of World Book Day, pupils arrived at school looking fantastic in their fantasy fiction-themed book character costumes for this year’s World Book Day theme. We were delighted to see an array of characters, including favourites from Star Wars, Peter Pan, Harry Potter, and more.

Throughout the day, pupils were mixed into groups from different years as they embarked on a carousel of enchanting activities. From crafting mystical plants in Herbology to discovering fascinating creatures in Care of Magical Creatures, every session was designed to spark their imagination. The children also practised their spell work in Charms and Potions, creating bubbling concoctions and crafting magical wands. To top it all off, the day ended with the challenging OWLS quiz, where children put their knowledge of fantasy literature to the test. It was a truly spellbinding experience that left everyone inspired by the magic of books!

After the exciting school day came to an end children attended our Parents Association World book Day inspired disco for children to continue the magical fun. The children had a wonderful time dancing and playing games and even had a special appearance from Willow the Witch. It was the perfect way to end of the day. Thank you to our Parents Association for putting on these magical events for the children!
