World Mental Health Day

World Mental Health Day Banner

10 Oct 2023

The theme for this year’s World Mental Health Day is ‘Mental health is a universal human right’. Your mental health is so important and the day is all about driving positive change for everyone’s mental health. Each year group took part in activities around mental health to acknowledge the day.

Our Reception class had an assembly on all the ways they can support their own mental health and well-being. They learnt about self-regulation techniques and ways to support each other, taking part in the MyHappyMind curriculum.

Year 5 took part in mindfulness activities, talking about what helps our brains to relax and practising unwinding techniques. They also discussed the importance of taking care of our mental health and what we can do to help us when we feel overwhelmed.

Year 3 enjoyed filling their class made ‘Gratitude Jar’ with notes linked to the things in their lives that remind them of the reasons to be positive and thankful.

We hope the day helped you understand better how to help your mental health and know how important it is to prioritise it. Happy Mental Health Day!
