International School Meals Day!

14 Mar 2024

To celebrate the day we asked our lovely kitchen staff at the Prep why school dinners are important and what they do to provide healthy, sustainable meals for the children.

Ensuring children receive a balanced meal during their school day is crucial for promoting both physical and mental well-being. Healthy meals not only aid in maintaining concentration and energy levels but also support sustained focus throughout the latter part of the day. Removing sugary foods can significantly contribute to maintaining the children’s optimal energy levels!

School dinners at the Prep are made to be both nutritious and balanced to help promote children’s physical development. Children are offered a variety of fruits to choose from for their break-time snack. We also have a diverse menu so pupils have the chance to explore a range of new foods, expanding their food palate!

We asked the children ‘what is your favourite school meal?’
